Stormwater Management
The City of Fairway is located primarily with the Rock Creek Watershed which feeds into Brush Creek. Stormwater management in the City has multiple facets. A few of them include Floodplain Management, NPDES compliance, System Maintenance and Planning.
The City also maintains its current stormwater infrastructure which includes:
- 42 miles of curb and gutter
- 39,450 linear feet of storm sewer pipe
- 450 inlet structures
- 2 bridges
Johnson County
The City of Fairway has in the past and will in the future partner with Johnson County to fund the planning, design and construction of projects to alleviate flooding and improve water quality issues from the broad countywide level of the watershed (on qualifying projects).
