2025 Fairway Parks & Recreation Master Plan

In 2025, Fairway Parks & Recreation completed the first department wide Master Plan since the creation of the department in 2005. The Master Plan will guide the short and long-term development of the City's parks and recreational spaces by providing strategic direction on park and recreation programming, facility planning, general capital improvements, park amenities, future park and trail locations, and financial planning.

The Parks & Recreation Master Plan also considers other approved plans on related matters for the City, including but not limited to the Comprehensive Plan and the most recent Citizen Satisfaction Survey. Throughout the 9-10 month process, data was collected and analyzed to develop goals, objectives, policies and standards for the City’s current and future park system, green spaces, and recreation facilities as well as recreation program development.
