Neale Peterson Park
The newly renovated Park offers a range of features including multiple age-appropriate play structures, which are ADA accessible. The swing sets include two infant swings, two regular swings and a friendship swing that allows two people to swing together. There are two play structures designed for ages 2-5 years old. One is designed to look like a firetruck and the other is a market. For athletes, the Park offers two tennis courts and a large grassy area perfect for playing Frisbee, catch or just enjoying the sun.
Peterson Park also features two shelters. One has two tables, the other has four tables, and each has a cooking grill. The large shelter can be reserved for special events such as birthday parties, corporate picnics and family reunions.
Neale Peterson Park is named after former Fairway Mayor Neale R. Peterson. Among other things, Mayor Peterson led an effort to purchase land, oversee its development.
